Dear Colleagues and Friends,
We warmly welcome you to the 3rd Asian Congress on ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) which will be held on May 26 and 27, 2016 in Singapore. The congress is organized in conjunction with the 3rd Singapore Mental Health Conference.
The 1st and 2nd Asian Congress on ADHD took place in Seoul, Korea and Tokyo, Japan in the year 2012 and 2014 respectively with resounding success. The Institute of Mental Health Singapore, together with our partners, is proud to be the host for the 3rd Asian Congress in Singapore.
ADHD is probably one of the most studied mental health conditions in young children. The Congress on ADHD articulates precisely the importance of the need for more holistic and effective management and treatment of the disorder. Affecting close to 5% of school-going children worldwide, ADHD is a universal disorder that is highly treatable with very positive results.
The theme of the 3rd Asian Congress is “ADHD – Optimizing Care Along Life Trajectory”.
The congress programme includes plenary lectures, symposiums, poster sessions and presentations from leading doctors and professionals in the field of ADHD. There is also a caregiver track for the parents and caregivers of ADHD patients.
Singapore is one of the most dynamic and exciting cosmopolitan cities in Asia where traditions, multi-racial cultures and modernity co-exist in harmony. Beyond the congress, we hope that you will take the time to explore the island, sample local signature dishes and gourmet; and experience the hospitality of the Singaporeans.
On behalf of the Organising Committee, we wish you a fruitful, enjoyable and memorable time in Singapore.
